A simple and flavorful ground beef taco recipe perfect for weeknight dinners.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 packet taco seasoning
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 8 taco shells or tortillas
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheese
  • 1/4 cup sour cream

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add diced onion and cook until soft, about 3 minutes.
  3. Add minced garlic and cook for 1 minute.
  4. Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it into small pieces.
  5. Stir in taco seasoning and water. Simmer for 5 minutes.
  6. Warm taco shells or tortillas according to package instructions.
  7. Fill shells with beef mixture, lettuce, tomatoes, cheese, and sour cream.

Notes

  • Use lean ground beef for less grease.
  • For extra flavor, toast the taco shells lightly.
