Make a coffeehouse-style iced caramel latte at home quickly and easily, without a blender. This recipe focuses on the perfect coffee-to-milk ratio and how to achieve a smooth caramel flavor.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 shots espresso or 1/2 cup strong brewed coffee
  • 1 cup milk of choice
  • 23 tablespoons caramel sauce or syrup
  • Ice cubes
  • Optional: Cold foam

Instructions

  1. Brew your espresso or strong coffee. Let it cool slightly.
  2. In a glass, combine the caramel sauce or syrup with the cooled coffee. Stir well until the caramel is dissolved.
  3. Add ice cubes to the glass.
  4. Pour in your milk of choice.
  5. Stir gently to combine all ingredients.
  6. If desired, top with cold foam.

Notes

  • For a sweeter latte, add more caramel. For less sweetness, use less caramel.
  • You can adjust the coffee-to-milk ratio to your preference. More coffee for a stronger flavor, more milk for a creamier taste.
  • To make cold foam, froth cold milk with a touch of sweetener until foamy.
  • The calories for a small iced caramel latte can vary greatly depending on the milk and sweetener used, but this homemade version allows you to control those factors.
