A delicious mash-up of smash burgers and tacos, featuring thin-pressed beef patties on tortillas with cheese and special sauce.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 4 small flour tortillas
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tbsp ketchup
  • 1 tbsp mustard
  • 1 tsp pickle relish
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Lettuce leaves (optional for low-carb version)

Instructions

  1. Mix mayonnaise, ketchup, mustard, pickle relish, garlic powder, and onion powder in a bowl to make the special sauce. Set aside.
  2. Divide the ground beef into 4 equal portions and shape into balls.
  3. Heat a griddle or skillet over medium-high heat.
  4. Place a beef ball on the griddle and press it flat with a spatula to form a thin patty. Season with salt and pepper.
  5. Cook for 2-3 minutes until the edges are crispy, then flip and cook for another 2 minutes.
  6. Place a slice of cheese on each patty and let it melt slightly.
  7. Warm the tortillas on the griddle for about 30 seconds per side.
  8. Spread the special sauce on each tortilla, then place a patty on top.
  9. Add lettuce if using, then fold the tortilla like a taco.
  10. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • For a low-carb option, use lettuce wraps instead of tortillas.
  • You can also cook the patties in an air-fryer at 375°F for 5-6 minutes per side.
