A quick and flavorful ramen upgrade with butter, garlic, soy sauce, and brown sugar.

Ingredients

  • 1 package instant ramen (seasoning packet discarded)
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp sesame seeds
  • 1 green onion, sliced

Instructions

  1. Cook the ramen noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the garlic and cook for 30 seconds.
  3. Stir in the soy sauce and brown sugar until dissolved.
  4. Add the cooked noodles to the skillet and toss to coat.
  5. Push the noodles to one side and crack the egg into the skillet. Scramble until cooked.
  6. Mix the egg into the noodles. Top with sesame seeds and green onion.

Notes

  • Use low-sodium soy sauce if preferred.
  • Add chili flakes for extra spice.
