A classic Southern fruit salad with marshmallows, coconut, and a creamy dressing, perfect for holiday gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 1 (20 ounce) can crushed pineapple, drained
  • 1 (11 ounce) can mandarin oranges, drained
  • 1 (10 ounce) package mini marshmallows
  • 1 cup shredded coconut
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the drained crushed pineapple, drained mandarin oranges, mini marshmallows, and shredded coconut.
  2. Gently stir in the sour cream until all ingredients are evenly coated.
  3. If using, fold in the chopped pecans.
  4. Cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 1 hour to allow the flavors to meld.
  5. Serve chilled.

Notes

  • For a lighter version, you can substitute whipped topping for the sour cream.
  • Add maraschino cherries for a pop of color and sweetness.
  • This salad can be made a day in advance.
