Create festive, layered jello shots that look like candy corn for your Halloween party. This recipe guides you through making distinct yellow, orange, and white layers with your choice of alcohol.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 box (3 oz) lemon or pineapple gelatin
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • 1 cup vodka or clear rum
  • 1 box (3 oz) orange gelatin
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • 1 cup vodka or orange schnapps
  • 1 box (3 oz) unflavored gelatin
  • 1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk
  • 1/2 cup hot water
  • 1/4 cup vanilla vodka or coconut rum

Instructions

  1. Prepare the yellow layer: Dissolve lemon or pineapple gelatin in 1 cup boiling water. Stir in 1 cup vodka. Pour into 2 oz plastic cups, filling about one-third full. Chill until firm.
  2. Prepare the orange layer: Dissolve orange gelatin in 1 cup boiling water. Stir in 1 cup vodka or orange schnapps. Let cool to room temperature, then carefully pour over the set yellow layer, filling another third of the cup. Chill until firm.
  3. Prepare the white layer: Sprinkle unflavored gelatin over 1/2 cup hot water and let bloom for 5 minutes. Stir in sweetened condensed milk until smooth. Add 1/4 cup vanilla vodka or coconut rum. Let cool to room temperature. Carefully pour over the set orange layer to fill the cup. Chill until firm.
  4. Serve chilled.

Notes

  • Ensure each layer is fully set before adding the next to prevent colors from mixing.
  • For a stronger candy corn flavor, consider using vanilla extract in the white layer.
  • Adjust alcohol content to your preference.
  • These are best made a day in advance.
