Caramel Apple Pretzel Bites

Easy and delicious sweet and salty pretzel bites with caramel and apple flavor, perfect for fall or Halloween.

Ingredients

  • 1 bag pretzel twists or snaps
  • 1 bag Rolo candies, unwrapped
  • 1/4 cup dried apple pieces, chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Arrange pretzels in a single layer on a baking sheet.
  3. Place one Rolo candy on top of each pretzel.
  4. Bake for 3-5 minutes, or until the Rolo is softened and slightly melty.
  5. Immediately press a few pieces of chopped dried apple into the softened Rolo.
  6. Let the bites cool completely on the baking sheet until the caramel hardens.

Notes

  • You can substitute pecans or other chopped nuts for the dried apple for a ‘turtle’ style bite.
  • For a smoother finish, you can gently spread the softened Rolo with a small spatula before adding the apple pieces.
  • Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
