A classic retro gelatin salad with tart cranberries, sweet pineapple, and crunchy nuts, perfect for holiday gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 1 package (3 ounces) raspberry or cranberry gelatin
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • 1 cup cold water
  • 1 can (16 ounces) whole berry cranberry sauce
  • 1 can (8.5 ounces) crushed pineapple, drained
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans or walnuts

Instructions

  1. Dissolve gelatin in boiling water. Stir in cold water.
  2. Add cranberry sauce and crushed pineapple. Mix well.
  3. Stir in chopped nuts.
  4. Pour into a 4-cup mold or serving dish.
  5. Chill until firm, at least 4 hours.

Notes

  • For a firmer salad, use 1/4 cup less cold water.
  • Serve with a dollop of whipped cream or cream cheese.
  • This salad is a great addition to any holiday meal, bringing a touch of vintage charm.
