Make this creamy, briny dip inspired by the classic dirty martini. It combines blue cheese, cream cheese, and olive brine for a savory appetizer perfect for parties.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 16 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 8 ounces blue cheese, crumbled, divided
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 3/4 cup finely chopped green olives (pitted)
  • 1/2 cup olive brine
  • 2 ounces gin (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Diced olives and olive oil for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, half of the blue cheese, sour cream, chopped olives, olive brine, gin (if using), and garlic powder.
  2. Mix all ingredients until smooth and well combined.
  3. Season the mixture with salt and pepper to your preference.
  4. Transfer the dip to a serving bowl, preferably a martini glass for presentation.
  5. Sprinkle the remaining blue cheese crumbles over the top.
  6. Drizzle lightly with olive oil and garnish with extra diced olives.
  7. Chill the dip for at least 30 minutes before serving to allow flavors to meld.
  8. Serve cold with crackers, pita chips, or fresh vegetables.

Notes

  • For a non-alcoholic version, omit the gin completely. The brine provides enough martini flavor.
  • This dip tastes best when made ahead of time, allowing the brine flavor to fully infuse the cheese base.
  • If you are planning your weekly meals, this quick appetizer is a great addition to your snack rotation, unlike complex meal planning systems.
