A classic espresso martini recipe for a chic, caffeinated cocktail perfect for celebrations or an after-dinner treat.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 oz vodka
  • 1 oz coffee liqueur (like Kahlúa)
  • 1 oz freshly brewed espresso, cooled
  • 0.5 oz simple syrup (optional, adjust to taste)
  • Ice
  • 3 whole espresso beans for garnish

Instructions

  1. Brew your espresso and let it cool slightly.
  2. Combine vodka, coffee liqueur, cooled espresso, and simple syrup (if using) in a cocktail shaker.
  3. Fill the shaker with ice.
  4. Secure the lid and shake vigorously until the outside of the shaker is very cold and frosty.
  5. Double strain into a chilled martini glass.
  6. Garnish with three espresso beans.

Notes

  • Using hot espresso can melt the ice too quickly, resulting in a watery drink. Ensure your espresso is cooled before shaking.
  • Adjust the simple syrup to your preferred sweetness level.
  • For a richer flavor, you can use a cold brew concentrate instead of espresso.
