Ingredients
Scale
1 (5-7 pound) fully cooked spiral-cut ham
1 cup packed brown sugar
1/4 cup honey
2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
1/4 cup pineapple juice
12 whole cloves (optional)
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 325°F (160°C).
Place the ham cut-side down in a large roasting pan. If using cloves, insert them into the ham at this stage.
In a small bowl, whisk together the brown sugar, honey, Dijon mustard, and pineapple juice until well combined. This is your glaze.
Cover the ham tightly with aluminum foil.
Bake for 1 hour.
Remove the foil. Brush about half of the glaze evenly over the ham.
Continue baking, uncovered, for another 30-60 minutes, brushing with the remaining glaze every 15-20 minutes. The ham is done when it reaches an internal temperature of 140°F (60°C) and the glaze is bubbly and caramelized.
Let the ham rest for 10-15 minutes before slicing and serving.
Notes
For a moister ham, you can add 1/2 cup of water or apple cider to the bottom of the roasting pan before covering with foil.
If your ham is not spiral-cut, you may need to score the fat cap in a diamond pattern before glazing.
Adjust the sweetness and tang of the glaze by varying the amounts of honey and mustard.
