A nostalgic, no-bake potluck dessert salad featuring apples, pudding, and chopped Snickers bars. This recipe is easy to assemble and perfect for gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 (3.4 ounce) package instant vanilla pudding mix
  • 1 (8 ounce) container frozen whipped topping, thawed
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans
  • 45 chopped Snickers candy bars
  • 23 medium apples, cored and chopped
  • Optional: Caramel sauce for drizzling

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, prepare the instant pudding according to package directions, using milk. Let it set for a few minutes.
  2. Gently fold the thawed whipped topping into the prepared pudding until well combined.
  3. Stir in the chopped pecans.
  4. Add the chopped Snickers bars and chopped apples to the pudding mixture.
  5. Gently fold everything together until the apples and candy bars are evenly distributed.
  6. For best results, cover and chill for at least 30 minutes before serving.
  7. Optional: Drizzle with caramel sauce before serving.

Notes

  • To prevent apples from browning, toss them with a little lemon juice before adding them to the salad.
  • For a different flavor, you can use butterscotch pudding mix instead of vanilla.
  • If you prefer a higher protein version, you can substitute some of the whipped topping with plain Greek yogurt.
  • This salad can be made ahead of time. Add the apples just before serving to maintain their crispness.
  • Consider this a great option if you are looking for meal planning ideas for potlucks.
