A comforting casserole that layers all your favorite Thanksgiving leftovers into one easy, baked dish.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups mashed potatoes
  • 2 cups cooked turkey, shredded or diced
  • 1 cup leftover gravy
  • 1 cup leftover stuffing
  • 1/2 cup leftover cranberry sauce (optional)
  • 1/4 cup chicken broth or extra gravy
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix the shredded turkey with 1 cup of gravy, salt, and pepper. If the mixture seems dry, add the chicken broth or extra gravy.
  3. Spread the turkey mixture evenly in the bottom of a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  4. Layer the stuffing over the turkey mixture.
  5. If using, spread the cranberry sauce over the stuffing.
  6. Top with the mashed potatoes, spreading them evenly to cover the layers below. You can create a decorative pattern with a fork if desired.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the casserole is heated through and the top is lightly browned.
  8. Let stand for 5-10 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • Ensure your gravy is not too thick; thin it with a little broth if needed to prevent the casserole from drying out.
  • You can add other leftover vegetables, like green beans or corn, as an additional layer.
  • For a crispier top, you can broil the casserole for the last 1-2 minutes, watching carefully to prevent burning.
